    It depends ... from product you mean.

    Sophos SG (UTM) and Sophos XG (Firewall) will run in virtual environments, but have their own OS.
    They don't run within Windows/Linux Server.

    Sophos Endpoint protection (InterceptX) can be used within virtual servers/workstations.
