Firefox doesn't recognize CA

I've deployed the web admin and proxy certs as trusted root and have no issue with IE and Chrome, but Firefox will not accept the root issuer. It says "issuer unknown..." when it get the host cert and only works by adding the exception within FF. Obviously, I don't want to do that. I tried regenerating the certs, redeployed and FF still wants to have the exception added.

Any ideas what is going on?

  • How are you deploying the cert?  You do know that Firefox cannot read from the windows certificate store, right?

Tools>>Options>>Advanced>>Certificates>>View Certificates>>Import to add certificates in Firefox.

I was not aware of that... so I'll have to figure out how to deploy the cert directly to FF. Thanks.
