Web Protection reporting not showing users in Deparments.

Hello,

Hopefully someone can help and this is a pretty simple resolution, am sure i must have missed something during setup.

I've been setting up Sophos UTM 9.3. So far only for Web protection, we are successfuly using it as a web proxy for some test users.

When I run the web usage report and select the 'Users' or 'Users with URLS' etc in available reports it does indeed show usernames and the URLs they have been to, great [:)]

But as soon as I filter it by a department, it doesnt report any data.

I have created the departments, adding in users that have been pre-fetched from the AD via Authentication Services. And made sure that the departments i have created include the test users.

So I can't work out what I am/have been doing wrong?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    small update, it has now come up with some results, but only showing users browsing to internal url's or ips, not external domain/websites etc.

    Hi, Edd, and welcome to the User BB.

    Have you confirmed that the accesses are being logged in the log file?  Is Web Filtering in Transparent or Standard mode?

    Sorry for the delay, didnt get a chance to work on this yesterday. I can see the traffic in the Web filtering live log, this is showing user names, external urls etc etc.

    Web filtering is currently set to Transparent mode.

    Ok, sorry again, I should have checked the reports this morning before posting. It now seems to be working, although with out making any changes.
    Perhaps it just takes time before the departments feature starts working on reports???
