Authentication NTLM

Using AD Authentication in transparent mode by NTLM , How much is the time a user is cached? I mean, when a user request a web first UTM authenticate him, in his second web request UTM doesn´t ask to the user browser for the NTLM packet. I understand it is so beacuse the user is cached. How much time is cached?

My second question is, in what file are registered this users authentications ?
I can´t see any record about this in the file "User authentication daemon" [8-)]
