Hi,
currently I'm experiencing problems with setting up the web filter correctly.
Problem statement:
- Profile: Profile-Kids-Computers-Weekdays
- Profile: Profile-Kids-Computers-Weekends
- Profile: Profile-Kids-MobileDevices-Weekdays
- Profile: Profile-Kids-MobileDevices-Weekends
- Policy: Policy-Kids-Computers-Weekdays ----------> with time event: Kids-Weekdays -----> with filter action: Filter-Kids-Computers-Weekdays
- Policy: Policy-Kids-Computers-Weekends ---------> with time event: Kids-Weekends -----> with filter action: Filter-Kids-Computers-Weekends
- Policy: Policy-Kids-MobileDevices-Weekdays -----> with time event: Kids-Weekdays -----> with filter action: Filter-Kids-MobileDevices-Weekdays
- Policy: Policy-Kids-MobileDevices-Weekends -----> with time event: Kids-Weekends ----> with filter action: Filter-Kids-MobileDevices-Weekends
Time period definitions:
- Kids-Weekdays: Monday-Thursday 08:00 - 21:00
- Kids-Weekends: Friday-Sunday 08:00 - 22:00
Filter actions: Completely working, whitelist-mode, only special addresses whitelisted with regexp's.
When it's weekend, the 1st filter profile "Profile-Kids-Computers-Weekdays" blocks a request from a computer because the time range doesn't fit. The second filter profile doesn't seem to get used because the ip address is matching already for the first filter profile. Am I right with this assumption?
Same goes for mobile devices, of course.
If I change the order of the profiles, everything is reversed (vice-versa). Then it will work on weekends but not on weekdays.
My kids want me to solve the problem (of course, haha!) but I don't know how.
The only solution I can think of is to go down to only have two filters (computers/mobile) and only time period definition or no time definition at all.
So how would you solve this problem?
Or have I done something totally wrong?
Thank's in advance,
cheers,
Michael
