New user, web exceptions not working

Go easy on me.  I am new user with limited experience.  

I installed Sophos UTM 9 because my Cisco/Linksys product was discontinued.  I primarily use the product for web content filtering.  But am having issues with access to World of Warcraft, Steam, Apple messaging (iPod/iPad) & Sony Playstation games/apps (Netflix on the PS4).

I am running 9.207-19.  I used the web exceptions found in this forum to get Neflix working on our Wii & Samsung Smart TV - but it required some tweaking and additional URLs.

I'm not sure what info settings may help you experts troubleshoot my issue so fire away and I will answer as best I can.

Any help is appreciated.

    After additional research I found a post by Linkz0rs, here where he states "This is of course, provided that you allow all outgoing connections from your network."

    How do I check to see if outgoing connections are allowed?  Where would I create that rule?
