Web Filtering Authentication Issue

Hi All,

i configured my UTM Web filtering with Transparent Operation Mode & Browser Authentication method to make sure that only authenticated user can access internet from this Router IP Address.

lets say the router IP Address is 192.168.100.10. if i want to access the internet from my computer it asks me for the username and password, then if i tried to open an internet from my mobile device its automatically access the internet without asking for a username or password. Even if i create new network and configure this network with authentication mode.

it just ask me from only 1 device and then all other device will authenticate the internet from the same username.

Any Suggestion?

    I'm not sure I understand your topology, but it sounds like you have a wireless router plugged that both the PC and the mobile device are behind.  The result is that Web Filtering just sees 192.168.100.10, not the NATted IPs behind the router.  The proxy has no way of knowing.

    The accepted solution with a wireless router is to transform it into a wireless access point by disabling DHCP in the router, taping over the WAN port and connecting to the UTM from one of its LAN ports.

    Never mind it's done. i found a trick on sophos to make authentication from 1 single via using my username
