Is it possible to augment the adblocking by importing a Fanboy's List?

Is it possible to import the Fanboy's list of known ads to augment the frontline adblocking?
I know that I can install an AdBlock plugin on my PC etc, but the same can not be done to my Kindle, Ipad, Iphone, Samsung S5 and other networked devices.

I would like to provide a comprehensive ad and user tracker blocking right at the gateway.
Anyway of augmenting what is currently being offered?

I.e.
The maxed out gateway settings still let 95% of Yahoo Adds through that are served via Adserve.

9.2 reportedly has local override for site categorization - I'm still on 9.1x.

I don't know the limits or consequences to large domain_regex domain/regexps lists or if other means (such as DNS override) might be preferable.

Submitting URLs to trustedsource/sophos is also an option.
