Exception for Google Apps

I seem to be having intermittent certificate errors with Google Apps, despite my previous success discovering my certificate problem in another thread.

Is there any reason why I wouldn't want to create a web filter exception for google apps?  It seems most of my problems center around gapps.

Thanks

  • If you mean a Web PROTECTION Exception, then, yes, I think that would be reasonable for specific URLs of apps you allow.

Yes, that's what I meant.   The Sophos docs use the terms "Web Filtering" and "Web Protection" somewhat interchangeably.

When I initially typed this question up last night, I put SSL filtering in the message because I was tired and had "SSL on the brain."  However, this morning I edited my question.

  • UTM-specific terminology can be confusing at first. [;)]  Web Protection is the subscription that includes Web Filtering, FTP Proxy, and Application Control.
