Issue with Netflix & Unblock-Us

Hi all,

Using Sophos UTM Home (latest) and also using on my devices the DNS entries from Unblock-Us to gain access to Netflix US (am in Canada).

When I turn on content filtering, I still have access to Netflix, but only Canada. Turn it back off, all is good, US content is back. When I turn it on

Any idea of where I should start poking to resolve this?

Did you create these dns definitions on the UTM or just on the devices?

The DNS entires are on the devices only, not the UTM. I use OpenDNS for parental controls on the UTM - but might change to the UTM content filtering if I put the Unblock US DNS entries instead & solves the problem

Try creating the DNS entries on the UTM, as it sounds like when web filtering is enabled the UTM is doing its own lookups.

Tried & works - thanks, should have been obvious.

If I turn on AV scanning I lose Netflix - is this to be expected?

Good to hear it works.

I believe there is a thread where people have posted the exceptions they used to skip AV scanning for netflix.
