[9.200] Web filtering causing slow internet browsing?

I upgraded to 9.200 a few weeks ago and noted no decrease in internet browsing speed.  The unit is a 320 with max 100 users behind it.  Most features turned on, including IPS and now ATP.  

As of the past few days, browsing is... SLOWWWW.  All of a sudden, sites with lots of images, say, a shopping website, are extremely slow to load.  I went in, turned Web Filtering off, and boom, right back to instant load.  Anyone else experiencing this?

As far as the web filtering config, pretty much default.  Transparent mode, single scan, only block p0rn, all other traffic allowed.

I rebooted the UTM which didn't help.
Thoughts?

    Hi,

    as Michael Dunn wrode, the problems will not be fixed with 9.2.04
    when you have clients without Enpoint Software on it.

    As this seems to be a bug with no known good workaround, and this is a user to user forum (very few Sophos employees come here and those that do are doing so in an unofficial capacity), you may want to try contacting Sophos sales.  If you were to sign a contractual letter of intent to purchase, they MIGHT be able to do a sales escalation on the issue to get it looked into.

    from what i've seen this only manifests itself if sophos endpoint is present..removing hte endpoints works.

    Or disable Web control and AV scanning from endpoint. Then you have a replacement for TMG and endpoint just not mobile policy on endpoint. 

    I have been running like this for months, not ideal and we have had infections but still better than most endpoints

    Hi, I dont have anything installed on my endpoints.
    I only enabled url filtering on my utm and have the bad performance.
    Not only on one box, even on every other box on diferent hardware I tried.

    I'm relaly curious what versions of UTM is everyone running that is having this issue?  so list he following please:

    Full hardware specs..cpu, ram, nics, number of users, what modules you ahve one, is this local hardware or vm?  If in vm which hypervisor.  Need full config details on how the hypervisor is configured and the vm as well.

    There are definitely two separate problems.

    One problem is when running Endpoints behind the UTM, a workaround has been posted and it will be fixed in the next maintenance release.

    One problem is when there are no Endpoints.  There is no information about this problem.  No one has sent me any ticket # about this problem.  AFAIK no one has officially reported this problem.  No one in Dev is investigating.
