firefox 28 and web filtering

Anyone aware of any issue with FF 28 and the web filtering on 9.109-1?

If I enable web-filtering theres a whole slew of Google related site that just hang, which also includes the adwords etc sites, so many site just plain dont work?
If I use Chrome everything's hunky dory..

    AS per usual, you ask a question on a forum and within minutes you've figured it out and have the answer...

    the issue here is with the web-filter and the safe-browsing option for Google..doesnt seem to like FF 28

    yes, i can confirm this problem on ff 28.0

    I think it's more ff28 doesn't like being forced to google safesearch...since ff relies almost solely on google for their income this limits their search results and therefore their potential income..[:)]

    I was searching the problem with Firefox 28 since yesterday and finally found the explanation here, thanks!

    Deactivating Google SafeSearch solved this problem.
