User Based Application Control

From what I can tell, Application Control applies to a network and not a user?

If so, are their plans to apply it to a user instead of a source network?

When I attempt to add entry to the "For Section" I get a list of networks in the left pane.  Some of the entries are my users and hovering over them results in: " Known IP addresses of 'SOMENAME' unresolved

The entries for networks and hosts show their IP addresses as I would expect.

Am I just doing everything wrong?

We are trying to keep "Streaming Media" down to just what is required and I am losing the battle.  Any help would be appreciated.

  • If you listen to the teachers, yes. The world would stop spinning if the students were not allowed to access the internet.

Agreed, but getting that RADIUS problem solved would let you enforce the separation of Student and Teacher IPs, thus enforcing separate AppControl rules and Web Profiles.  The tricky part is on the WinServer side.
