I've received so many complaints from our medical library about this issue, that I wanted to start getting some anecdotal information. My users complain that loading any .gov sites is extremely slow. In fact, I've also seen that when accessing the nih.gov or cms.gov sites, including MedlinePlus, it can take several minutes for the page to fully load. Yet, the Web filtering log shows nothing be action="pass" and nothing is specifically blocked. We're using standard mode, not transparent, due to wanting to control and track individual access to sites.
I've even added some of the base domains to exceptions, but the performance is still very bad. Has anyone else experienced the same thing?
