I have recently run into a little problem that I cant seem to solve on my on. The problem is that, on my wireless network, YouTube videos will play for about 1:30-2:30 then give the error connection lost to the server and crash. If I turn off WiFi, the videos play fine, and on other WiFi networks, videos play fine. I have also narrowed it down to a Web Filtering issue by turning off Web Filtering. When i do this, videos play fine.
Here is what I have in my Web Filtering exception:
Youtube
Skipping: Authentication / Caching / Block by download size / Antivirus / Extension blocking / MIME type blocking / URL Filter / Content Removal / SSL scanning / Certificate Trust Check / Certificate Date Check / Accessed page logging / Blocked page logging
Matching these URLs:
^https?//[A-Za-z0-9.]*youtube\.com
^https?://[A-Za-z0-9.]+\.googlevideo\.com
^https?://[A-Za-z0-9.]+\.googlevideo\.com/videoplayback
^https?://[A-Za-z0-9.]+\.youtube\.com/videoplayback
^https?//[A-Za-z0-9.]+\.youtube\.com
youtube.com
https?//youtube.com
https?://[A-Za-z0-9.]+\googleapis\.com
I know there is a lot of redundancy, and I am skipping far more than I need to. I have it set this way currently only for the sake of testing. Once I have the issue fixed I will set it back to Anti-Virus only. If anyone can shed any light on this I would appreciate it. This has been driving me absolutely nuts for the past few weeks.
One other thing to note. Going to the m.youtube.com from the phones browser and playing a video DOES work. Its the youtube app that doesnt. I dont know if the app uses a different web address to pull the videos or not, but I am hoping someone can help a little.
Thank you!
