Use UTM proxy outside of network?

Wondering if it is possible to use the HTTP / HTTPS proxy outside of the network firewall so that roaming devices (e.g. laptops, tablets) can still benefit from the web filtering policies in place on the UTM?

    The solution Sophos has for that is web control on endpoint protection. The other option would be to remote access to your box and have Internet IPv4 inside your tunnel networks. Also add the remote pool to your allowed networks list.

    Specifically I want to do this with iOS devices - they support forced, global HTTP proxy. Ideally I can have them proxy to the network protected by UTM and have the UTM filter their HTTP traffic while roaming.

    But you will want some form of authentication / encryption using your proxy from outside. That's why you should consider using Remote Access before being able to access your proxy using portable devices.
