Scanning file downloads

Last week I finally took the plunge and updated my firewall from ASG 8.x to UTM 9.106
I used a backup file for the upgrade and all seemed to work fine, except now I have a bit of an issue with all downloaded files being scanned.

In Web Protection > Web Filtering > Antivirus/Malware, Use Antivirus Scanning is not selected.
Naturally, I tried selecting it, saving then deselecting and saving, but this had no positive effect.

Before anyone jumps on me about not scanning files off the internet, let me say that I do before opening or running them. 
What I do not like is the UTM file download page not opening in a new tab, rather, opening over the page that had the download link which prevents me from doing anything else on that page until the file download finishes (unless I open that page in another tab myself).

A simple question... how do I disable the virus scanning of file downloads?

    There's the issue.  Which p-4 exactly?  if it isn't at least 2.5ghz with HT the p-4 might not be nearly fast under v9 to handle those downloads in realtime..so you see the download screen while the system chugs through it.  Your ram is also highly problematic.  The minimum recommendation for v9 form sophos is 2 gigs..realistically it's 4 gigs.  So not only does it have to try to scan it on the fly(which takes ram) the instant you do start scanning something the system instantly goes into swap so it can extract and inspect the contents of the file.  You simply don't have enough machine for v9 and a/v...or much of anything else.  If you quadrupled the ram you MIGHT be able to have enough cpu horsepower so the system can scan the file in realtime therefore not needing to buffer the download so it can be scanned while it desperately claws for ram that simply doesn't exist.  Ram is cheap..get 4 gigs into that box and see if that doesn't help things.  Your cpu is most likely the other bottleneck but until you relieve the absolute strangulation you have that poor machine under form no ram..we won't know.  One of my installs is a p-4 2.4 ghz non HT and i won't put v9 on it....not if i want it to perform worth anything..[:)]
