Web Filtering.. for just one workstation?

Hello, we currently have Web Filtering disabled on our UTM220 (9.102-8). We would like to block inappropriate sites for just one workstation. The Allowed Networks confuses me a bit.. is this were we define the workstation we are blocking access from? Or do I have to allow all networks and then lock this workstation down using profiles?

  • You could create a profile which only applies to this one workstation. For all the others you could just use the standard filter with no restrictions.

In fact, you could be using Web Filtering to do anti-virus scanning for everyone by blocking nothing in the Default Profile (the first three tabs of Web Filtering), and then creating the Profile that apijnappels suggests.

  • Ok.. but I would still need to define the networks that need unrestricted web access in the Allowed Networks tab correct?
