Transparent and Proxy

I have searched the forum and can't seem to find an answer to this. If it has been discussed before please point me in that direction. I have the home license by the way. I also have multiple free interfaces available on this setup too. I want to be able to use proxy filtering on all of my hardwired computers since I have full control over those and can setup the proxy settings and lock down the computer so it can't be changed. However, for the wireless clients which consists a large variety of devices I would like to be able to setup transparent mode for the stuff connected to the ap. Like I said before I do have extra interfaces or I can even setup a VLAN if that is the only route. Is it possible to use transparent and proxy mode on the same UTM with the home license?

    Hi, cheever, and welcome to the User BB!

    The quickest way to do this is to put the wireless on a different NIC with a subnet different from your wired network.  Then, just make a Profile for the wireless network.

    Thanks for the welcome. This is where I get tripped up, how do you make separate profiles and apply different settings for each profile? Under web filtering it is a radial button for either transparent or standard. I can't select the network I want it to apply to and enable both at the same time. Does that make sense? I must just be missing the steps to make a profile.

    Hi ,

    In the Http proxy you can create a new profile.
    Then assign to it all the configuration you want including which networks will use it.
    Then on the fallback action usually you will put the default filter action for all exceptions you want.
    And you got a whole new profile just for your WIFI network as you wanted :-)

    OH I see where you accomplish this at. Man I feel like an idiot not seeing that option before.
