Windows 8 Authenticating Proxy

Hello,
I'm using Windows 8, and experiencing what seems like common pains of using an authenticating proxy [:(] MS has the following support article: Using authenticated proxy servers together with Windows 8 which suggests bypassing a number of URL's to enable functionality of the built in apps:

    login.live.com
    account.live.com
    clientconfig.passport.net
    wustat.windows.com
    *.windowsupdate.com
    *.wns.windows.com
    *.hotmail.com
    *.outlook.com
    *.microsoft.com
    *.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt

Whats the appropriate way to bypass these URL's in web protection?

Thanks,
Tim

  • Tim, take a look at the existing Exception for *.windowsupdate.com - note that, in REGEX, that's ^https?://([A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.)?windowsupdate\.com/.  Please let us know if adding the other items to that Exception works for Win8.
