Block VPN and proxy access

I want to implement some restrictions on my home network using Sophos UTM Home (block certain websites, P2P traffic, etc). Unfortunately, as far as I understand, you can bypass those restrictions using a VPN and/or proxy. Is there a way to block network users from using a VPN (especially SSL based VPNs) and proxies?

Try Web Protection - Application Control - Application Control Rules , because UTM has packet inspection.

Also, in Web Filtering, it's possible to block such accesses by blocking the subcategory "Anonymizers."

In the standard initial setup, the wizard creates a Firewall rule 'Internal (Network) -> Web Surfing -> Any : Allow' which you will want to disable if you don't select SSL Scanning in Transparent mode. Doing SSL Scanning requires loading the UTM's SSL certificate into your browser and via the Certificates snap-in in MSC.
