Issues with transparent https proxy and windows 8 updates

Hello,

i'm getting Update-Errors 80240440 unter "Windows 8 Pro x64" with activated transparent http(s) proxy.

These errors are gone, when i disable httpS-Scan and create a packetfilter rule (internal ---> HTTPS ---> any v4).

I already installed the proxy CA certificate into my browser (IE 10) as root ca, this wont help.

What can i do? Anyone else with this issue?

Firmware is the actual 9.004 (soft release)!

    I've disabled the App-Control to show, if this module do a false positive (p2p or somethin' else) or categorization. No change in behaviour.

    Also a exception for HTTPS-Scanning in webfilter-options won't help.

    So i think its a problem with the transp. httpS-proxy an its own certificate (ca)?

    I had/have the same issue. It seems the Win Update server certificate is not accepted/recognised by the Astaro - visiting the failed HTTPS address (found in the live log) returns a certificate error.

    Does the UTM need some new root certs added for Win8?

    doing an "exception" to skip for certificate check going to windows update server doesn't work ?

    Hi folks,
    I have the proxy in transparent mode without https scanning and W8 works.
    Try setting the microsoft update site not to use https scanning.

    My web setup exceptions to authentication/antivirus/extension blocking/ssl scanning for windows update.
    I expect that this setup comes as part of the default configuration, it has been awhile since I built a UTM from scratch.
