[9.004-33][solved]Unable to download files using OSX +safari

Hi All

I am not able to download any files using my MBA (mountain lion with safari Version 6.0.1 (8536.26.14))

The relevant log is

I was able to download it via a windows client using firefox

    Is anyone able to reproduce the issue using safari 6.0.1 (8536.26.14) and mountain lion 10.8.2? I am still having the same issue and the only work around is to disable antivirus checking. As per the post above (firefox attachment)  it sounds like UTM issue

    Still unable to download dmg files from the Mac. Is anyone else having issues? This was not the case with previous ASG version

    Seems that I have the same problem, as soon as I activate the Antivirus scan of files I'm not able to download the files:

    With a click to the download-icon from the scan I receive following message:

    An error occurred while handling your request

    While trying to retrieve the URL:
    http://passthrough.fw-notify.net/download/434474/http://www.  (Weblink)/File.zip
    The content is blocked due to the following condition:
    The URL you have requested is blocked by Surf Protection. If you think this is wrong, please contact your administrator.
    Report:
    download not found

    I tried more different files and extensions, all the same.

    Firmware 9.004-34 (Problem was also with the latest 8-.version)
    Browser Safari 6.0.2

    This Bug in version 8 was the reason for upgrade to 9 but it seems the Bug is not solved.

    with safari 6.0.4 and 9.006-5 it seems that works fine for both antivirus enabled.

    Still not fixed:
    Example :

    same issue with safari Version 6.0.5 (8536.30.1) and 9.103
    it works fine with FF and other broswers

    I am having this same Issue with Safari 6.0.5 on my Mac. Anytime I try to download a file - doesn't matter what it is - if I get the download status window, it fails afterwards saying that the downloaded file cannot be found.

    It works perfectly fine if I use Firefox or another browser.

    What can I do to fix this? it's a major issue!

    Unfortunately this hasn't been validated as Bug by the team and I don't have sophos support to push it further. If you are not a home user I would recommend opening a ticket with sophos

    With new version of Safari (7.0) on Mavericks it seems to have resolved now.

    I also filed a bug report with Apple, so not sure on which end it was fixed, but it is working now [:)]

    I haven't installed maverick yet. I will probably today, test and post back
