Additional Url Not being Block

I know this might be much to ask but can someone who is using the
Web Filtering Additional Urls/ sites to block post a sample of their block list
that they use to block ads that's working. Thanks

UTM9

.*\.ads\.forbes\.com
^https?://ads\.forbes\.com
^https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]+\.2mdn.net/
^https?://2mdn.net

but it does not work,  I have no allow urls/sites

  • You don't need the first and last entries.  This one for forbes is fine

    ^https?://ads\.forbes\.com

    I suggest the following changes:

     ^https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.2mdn[/U][/B].net/

Are you blocking the web ads category?

  • Thank You BAlfson Web Filtering Additional Urls/ is working Great now,
yes I am blocking the web ads category?
  • spoke to soon some rules not getting hit  is this the correct format

    for example

    https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*\./quant.js/
    https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*\./bravenet/
    https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*\./js/adframe.js/
    https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*\./js/omniture/
  • For example:

    https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*\./quant.js/

This can be changed to https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*quant.js/

In fact, the "\." after the "*" is unnecessary.  It's the "/" that "breaks" the expression.

    Cheers - Bob
