Dear Forum Users and Technician  I really need an help,

I have an Astaro release 7.512
I'm not an expert on firewall programming and rules

I really need to block https://plus.google.com

I put the S in red because when you are logged to your Google account, you access directly from the secure page and Astaro seams can't block this google+ secure page!

I have tried to put the address in the Always block pages but nothing happened.(see attachment)

Please someone could explain me the most effective and Simple method to block this page?

Would be really very appreciated, are month I'm trying with other webfiltering software without any success [:(]

    You need to enable SSL scanning.

    I also recommend that you use a newer version of the Astaro Security Gateway; Version 9.002 is stable.

    Thank you Brucek, enabling the SSL scanning block just the images, not the whole page...

    Than I would upgrade, but I would just be sure is an almost totally automatic procedure before do it, an if setting will be transferred to the new version, also if there are few setting modified.

    Open the Web Filtering Live Log and put your PC's IP into the Filter box at the top.  That will cause it only to show lines from your PC.  Now you can see which lines are passed and which are blocked.

    Which ASG do you have?  How much RAM?

    It's an ASG 110/120 with 500 Mb Ram, and if I active SSL scan seam to go "down" with internet speed navigation and have some problems...
    I can install the V8 or it's not supported?
    if yes can I install it from the PC?

    To be honest, ASG Webfilter with a 512MB Appliance, with V8 no fun, with UTM simply not useable.

    If it's a home use box try to upgrade to 1GB Memory, if it' s a productive one, do a trade- in to a new hardware.

    finally I've opted out for OpenDNS, they block radically Google+ without any problem, probably my V7 and the asg110/120 are too much outdated... [:(]

    I would really find an Astaro/Sophos appliance for home user...

    ideas?
