FTP downloads capped at 3GB

I'm using Filezilla to download a 4GB DVD image (iso file).  The internet connection is routed through an ASG 8.306 machine.  FTP proxy is not enabled, there is a firewall rule to allow port 21 from the internal network to 3 specific internet hosts.  FTP Connection tracking helper is enabled in Advanced options.  The download will initiate fine and continue until 3GB at which point it dies every time.  Choosing to "resume" the download in Filezilla errors 5 times and then gives up.  When I hooked my machine up "outside" the ASG (i.e., direct connection to the internet) it works fine, so it's not the ftp server or my client.  Has this been seen before?  Is there a setting I'm missing, or is it perhaps a bug?

    Interesting, Jeff - is there anything in the Firewall log or theIntrusion Prevention log relative to the IP of the remote server?

    Do you have the FTP Helper activated on the 'Advanced' tab of Firewall?

    Have you considered activating the FTP Proxy?  Either in "Non-Transparent" or "Both" mode, configure fileZilla Settings for port 2121 on the internal IP of the Astaro, and you're good!

    IPS, I hadn't even considered that!  There are 2 alerts between the client and FTP server in question.  I turned on FTP proxy just to check, but I believe there may be a false positive signature match at exactly 3GB in to my iso image.
