Exempt PDF from Scanning

When our students are viewing textbooks online @ sites such as Glencoe/McGraw-Hill, the UTM is requiring that the file be downloaded prior to being viewed in the browser.

The Acrobat Reader 10 plugin is installed in IE9 so I would have thought that the file would have just displayed.

Is there anyway to change this behavior?  This is at a 6-8 school and it is very annoying to have to keep downloading chapters for viewing.

Any help would be appreciated.

  • Have you tried an Exception for Anti-Virus and Content Filter for their site?  You could use a regex like:

     ^https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*glencoe.com/[A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.(P|p)(D|d)(F|f)
