ok i have sent that, i did chat with support before posting here.  What i have found is we use sso with Active Dir to authenticate, i do use profiles. If i put myself in a profile that allows transparent proxy, all works fine.  So i guess i need help getting this app(the website gave me the 4 ip it talks to over ssl port 443)  to allow it to bypass the proxy when i have my pc's and all my users on in a profile that used a proxy.  Hope this is clear any help is greatly appreciated.  Also i don't want to hard code the proxy in the app since most people have laptops and will go home with them.

Hi, if the proxy isn't in transparent mode, you can create NetworkDefintions, and a group, to contain the 4 IPs, and then create a PacketFilter Rule to allow the PCs to connect to that Network Group on https.

Let me say that in a different way to be sure I understand: The application can be configured to work with a proxy, but it was not.  It worked with the Transparent proxy because that mode doesn't handle HTTPS.

If that's right, you'll want to eliminate the use of Transparent and continue with AD-SSO.  You just need to make the Firewall rule Barry prescribed and add those four IPs to the 'Exceptions' in 'Proxy Settings' for your Windows boxes.

Ok idrive support got back to me and had me download a different version and told me open port 11043. so i added that the the packet filter that i setup based on BarryG. 

Question is why didn't i see this port get blocked in firewall log?
Also it still doesn't work i have two problems

1) I have to tell the idrive client that i have a proxy and have to put in the server8080 and my username and password just to get it to sign in(which i don't want to do since when i leave office this isn't correct they have a setting autodetect but that doesn't help either

2) even if i get it to sign in it still doesn't sync all the files

I also have changed my wpad file to state that those ip's and website i can go direct and don't use proxy

so where i'm confussed is that i don't see anything blocked in logs, nothing in intrusion or packetfilter, just the weblog which all says pass

Second confusion is if i put my pc in a profile that allows transparent proxy it all works. So what i would like to do , is to put there servers in a allow transparent to them
