Integrating iPads into Websecurity setup

Hello everyone,
we are currently deploying iPads into "the wild" using a deployment tool.
A problem with this tool is, that it does not allow to set credentials for the proxy settings.

Our ASG is currently running with WebSecurity in Standard Mode using AD-SSO

We were now wondering, if we could solve our issue with the deployment software by setting the ASG WebSec to Transparent Mode AD-SSO.

Would the VPN credentials of the iPad be passed to the WebProxy?
Or would the iPad try to access the Web without any credentials?

    AD-SSO can't work without the client browser sending additional information, so it can't work in transparent mode in the Astaro.  It's possible, but Astaro hasn't been pushed hard enough to add the capability.

    There is a feature request.  Interested folks should comment and vote there: Transparent Proxy with Transparent Authentication (SSO)

    so we have to wait until the supplier of our deployment-tool fixes the issue

    Until Sophos commits to the feature request we have to continue with Basic mode.

    Transparent mode would also kill some of the hassle with making sure all users have the correct proxy settings [;)]
