Dropbox / Scan HTTPS (SSL) Traffic

Hi Guys, 

 
     I´m having the follow situation:


          Scan HTTPS (SSL) Traffic enabled
          Users requesting access on dropbox

     Dropbox client cannot connect the servers. It only happens when I enable Scan HTTPS. The same happens with skype too. 


     What to do? Thanks in advance.

    Have you tried an Exception for SSL Scanning?

    With Skype, try activating the SOCKS Proxy.

           how are you? I´m just fine. Thanks for send me a e-mail with instruction to configure http proxy + transparent mode. 

    So where and what I need to add an except for ssl scanning? I did it all below.

    For our advanced users

    Each brand of firewall software works differently depending on the manufacturer. Please refer to your firewall software documentation for specific directions. In general, you may need to do the following:

    Allow "Dropbox" (or "Dropbox.exe" in Windows) access to ports 80 (HTTP) and 443 (HTTPS)
    The LAN Sync feature requires access to port 17500 (recommended)
    Add Dropbox to your firewall's list of approved websites (whitelist), or make sure it's not on its blacklist
    You may need to allow "*.dropbox.com" to access the internet

    Alex, I'm confused now whether Dropbox only works when you select Scan SSL, or does it stop working when you select that?

    If it only works when you scan SSL, and you don't want to do that, then you need a Firewall rule like 'Internal (Network) -> {services group with HTTPS & 17500) -> Any : Allow'.  Or, if you wanted a very restrictive rule, you could replace Any with a DNS Host for the Dropbox FQDN you use.  For me, that would be notify17.dropbox.com.

    It does not work when I choose scan SSL. I can´t stabilish secure connection.

    Then try an 'Exception' for 'SSL Scanning' for ^https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*dropbox\.com

    I just set up socks proxy and it worked fine. Thank you Bob one more time [:D]
