ASG V8 DNS Request Routing

I'm trying to add a DNS Request Route for certain websites from the UK... essentially what I want is for all websites *.co.uk to be routed through certain DNS servers.  My question is: Can I use wildcards in the "Domain" field? (does ".co.uk" work? or "*.co.uk"?

I used ".co.uk" and I think it's working I'm not sure how to verify this, but I did get the following log entry in the DNS Proxy log:

2012:08:04-23:51:26 Captain_Moroni named[8239]: received SIGHUP signal to reload zones
2012:08:04-23:51:26 Captain_Moroni named[8239]: loading configuration from '//etc/named.conf'
2012:08:04-23:51:26 Captain_Moroni named[8239]: //etc/named.conf:77: zone '.co.uk': is not a valid name
2012:08:04-23:51:26 Captain_Moroni named[8239]: //etc/named.conf:88: zone '.net.uk': is not a valid name
2012:08:04-23:51:26 Captain_Moroni named[8239]: reloading configuration failed: failure

Thanks!

  • Hi, usmcflyr, and welcome to the User BB!

Use "co.uk" instead of ".co.uk" - does it work now?
