Web filtering basics..

here is what I want to do... 
use AD for filtering levels.  (i have already set up the AD communication)
The First group (teachers/faculty/support staff) will have certain filters it uses
The Second group (students/dorms) will have certain filtering it can use, with time it can use them (iff possible) 

ideas where to start?

    Try this KnowledgeBase article: HTTP/S Proxy Access with AD-SSO (Caution, the section "Configure User Authentication" should be eliminated as it has no effect on AD-SSO and can cause problems in larger organizations).

    Also, several of us here have worked together on Guest networks over the years.  I came up with a white paper on that over three years ago.  Recently, Hallowach helped me update it, and he also translated it into German.  If you'd like a copy of "Configure HTTP Proxy for a Network of Guests," Click on my name beside my avatar and email me.
