Block Logmein

Good afternoon,

I know what the issue here in the forum is now more than explained, but I'm not understanding.

I need to know how to block logmein.

 What is the first step?

 Astaro 220, V7, Transparent mode

 thank you

  • The downside of Transparent mode is that it only handles HTTP - You must use Standard mode if you want the proxy to block HTTPS sites.

You could use a packet filter rule to block the IP. At present, secure.logmein.com resolves to 74.201.74.193, but I would recommend a DNS Host definition with the FQDN.

Logmein has other products, so, in your packet filter rule, you might want to use a Network Group containing all their IPs.  See Transparent Proxy, HTTPS, and Exceptions.

    Cheers - Bob
