Application control rules

Hi,
Running Astaro 320, under application control rules if I select an AD group to block youtube application.  It does not work.  This group is available in my AD and Astaro for some reason only applies applicaiton control only on networks.  Any reason?  What am I missing?

    Group: The Group option is useful to group application control rules logically for better readability of the rule set. Grouping is only used for display purposes, it does not affect rule matching.

    application controls currently work on network entries.

    groups are not network definitions those are user groups..not the same thing unless you are doing something interesting.  I have a "user network" but it doesn't have an ip.  if you look at the application controls they only work on an interface from what i've seen.

    I am using websense and its much more granular.  Let me ask you then this, I have a AD user group 'Students' will I be able to apply an application policy on this group to block youtube? how? anyother way?

    blocking youtube.com is much easily done using the http proxy.. just add it to the sites to always block if you want it blocked across all of the networks the astaro manages.

    OR setup an http proxy profile and then you can block site/s categorie/s for various networks and/or user groups.
