Web Security: Authentication popup

Hi guys,

how can I eliminate the popup window when I use authentication feature ?
Users write their AD user and password, and then appears a new window telling that this user has been authenticated and also shows a logout option. This window is not in all users, just a few of them.

Any advice please...

    How do you setup your proxy?

    Seems you use Transparent Mode with authentication for some Users. With this configuration the window is a must.

    Exactly, we are using transparent with authentication for all subnets. 

    But the popup doesn´t appear for all users.

    If you have AD, why not set up all networks with AD-SSO?  In that way, no one must login, and you can control web access via Security Groups in AD.

    You might want to consult: Web Proxy Access with AD-SSO.

    Hi guys,

    First of all thanks for all your responses.

    Managing AD-SSO requires  my boss´ aproval and he is on vacation. I think changing AD-SSO instead of transparent with authentication will take me too long because it will be necessary to change present company´s policy. 

    what else could I try to fix this ?

    Samuel, I haven't seen the behavior you describe.  Can you give us an example with a few lines from the Web Filtering log and the User Authentication log showing this?

    Hi,

    When I said change company´s policy I´m talking about notifying all users explaining that authentication window will not appear anymore and before that I must get an approval from my boss, etc. etc...I mean a lot of protocol steps....

    ...had the same, but we're using standard proxy, and called support.

    We've found at the logs that no logon server could be found, at the moment I've got a updated rpm (?) - so I assume that there is some bug
