Android app vlingo fails when web filtering is enabled

When web filtering is enabled, an app called vlingo fails to work on my Android phone. vlingo is essentially a voice recognition app which searches for places/things etc. based on voice commands. 

I created an exception for the phone by its IP address skipping all the checks but no luck. I still get a "Network error: try again later" error. When I disable web filtering, it works fine.

I also watched the web filtering live log but nothing useful showed up. Any ideas where to look for? ASG 8.203.

    If in Transparent mode, add your IP to the skiplist.  If in a  Standard mode, configure the Android browser to skip the Astaro Proxy.

    Hi Bob,

    I am using transparent mode. I have already created an exception for the phone's IP address. I use static IPs for all devices. 

    Is there something else I need to do for adding IP to the skiplist?

    'Web Security >> Web Filtering' 'Advanced' tab

    Add a Host definition for the Android IP to 'Skip transparent mode source hosts/nets' or a DNS host for vlingo.com to 'Skip transparent mode destination hosts/nets'.
