How good is the Internet Security and Acceleration Server from Windows and can I trust just the ISA or should I install firewall? Which firewall will you recommend.?

are you serious? Because it is Microsoft it is only going to get better? Let's get the fanboism gone here... Microsoft's record speaks volumes..they truly innovate only until they have strangled the competition then they stagnate. I am a Microsoft Partner and trust me they are NOT a truly innovative company. Also isa server is no longer supported. If you want to use a windows product to secure your network(a true oxymoron) then you need the forefront series of products.. Few people(including hardcore windows folks) would ever put a winders machine at the edge and use it to secure a network. Guess what checkpoint and others are based on..Linux. There's a reason. However Astaro has many advantages over checkpoint and others. If you would like a full detailed explanation contact one of the many partners on these forums. If you want checkpoint and others head to their respective sites. If you want tons of work and administration overhead to secure an insecure product head to the forefront product.

Actually, that's not quite true. Checkpoint is an application/service/daemon that can run on Checkpoint's version of Linux (Secure Platform aka SPLAT), Windows, IPSO, Solaris etc.
And if you ever decide to investigate the license cost for Checkpoint, you'll understand that Astaro is extremely good value for money.
Another good freebie to try is pfSense, but if you think Linux hardware support is not great, you will literally tear your hair out with pfSense.
