Wildcards

Hello to you all

I'm trying to understand how wildcards work in webfilter rules, but can't seem to see an explanation anywhere.  If there is a document that you know about  please point me in the correct direction.

I understand that the following works, but what does each character mean?

^https?://[^.]*\.mysite.com

Regards
Mark

  • Hi, Mark, and welcome to the User BB!

    In fact, you want: ^https?://[A-Za-z0-9.-]*\.mysite\.com

These are REGEX (Regular Expressions), and there are guides and examples everywhere.

    Cheers - Bob
