Strange problem

Hi everyone

I noticed a problem with my ASG 110 running 8.202 home license and could not find out why.

It happens with some kind of interval looks like

When it happens, DNS query timed out on internal network, but works fine on firewall
When it happens, Webadmin stop responding
When it happens, existing connections works fine, like already established FTP connection works fine, but not new connections, of course, DNS timed out.

Tried use ASG as a DNS forwarder, or by pass it completely (just nat to ISP dns servers) and no luck,

DNS proxy is allowed to ANY on internal interface, for now.


it lasts for less than half a minute and everything works again

    just an update, I switched on my old Redhat Linux v8 box, it got a forward DNS server configured, now all my internal network PCs, using Redhat Linux as first DNS server and it does improve a lot.

    But still I could not find the root cause for this and does not look like others have this problem neither.
