Public Wireless Transparent Proxy

I have an ASG625 running versino 8.201.

We have standard proxy configured for all of our users. The proxy settings are in the browsers of all the clients - 172.x.x.x subnet. We have a public wireless on a seperate subnet - 10.x.x.x.

When I create the proxy profile for the 10 network and set it to transparent proxy, the public users cannot access the internet. However they can access if they put in the proxy information.

What am I missing.

Thanks

  • Have you added the 10. network to 'Allowed Networks' on the Global tab?

Last year, I wrote a cheat sheet "Configure HTTP Proxy for a Network of Guests" that you can have if you'll click on my name and email me.
