Bad Website Not Categorized in Web Filter?!

Hello there,

I want to have this issue discussed:

Some of our students access this page today: My Lazy Sundays!

So I blacklisted it in the according web filter profile.

But I was curious - Is it just to new to be categorized as "****ography" or not?

So I wen to: https://www.trustedsource.org/?p=mcafee
Chose "McAfee SmartFilter XL" and looked up nobrain.dk

Result:

Categorization in URL Filter database version '30503'

  URL Status Categorization Reputation
  My Lazy Sundays! Categorized URL - Malicious Sites
- ****ography
- Malicious Downloads
High Risk

But I wanted to know whether OUR web filter database is just not that up to date. 
I don't know how to test an URL on the Astaro directly (to emulate a student without a PC) so I searched the Internet and found:

https://www.astaro.com/index.php/tool/urlreport

I entered the URL again and it says:

For Astaro Security Gateway V7:
The URL 'nobrain.dk' did not return any category matches.

We are using Astaro V.8.201

So either I got the wrong testing site or a not updated filter database.

HOW can I ENSURE that...
... my web filter database is up to date?
... that the URL that I test shows the correct result of OUR Astaro being used?

Where can I test an URL anyway?

    Your Astaro doesn't have a local copy of the database, so there's no need to worry about it being out of date.  Every time a web request is made, the proxy queries the content filter database on Astaro servers.  The Astaro copy of the database that your system queries gets updated several times a day from the original vendor database at trustedsource.

    The simplest way of testing the "live" database is to just surf to a site.  The entry in the Web Proxy log will show categorization information.

    it got stopped by the reputation filter on my asl's.  what do you have your reputation level set at in the web security-content filtering area?

    updated: i checked all the logs. The page has been blocked yesterday as well (default web filter settings). we are now checking whether there is a local proxy setting problem. but the filter worked. so don't worry any longer!

    it in the webadmin.  log into your astaro..click web security...click web filtering..click url filtering..click Block URLs with a reputation below a threshold of: and choose.  pretty simple and straightforward..[:)]

    What does it do exactly? (depending on the level)

    "Websites can be classified as either Trusted, Neutral, Suspicious, or malicious, the latter not being listed (since it would allow for all kind of sites which is equivalent to not using the threshold option at all). Unclassified websites are referred to as Unverified. You can determine which reputation a website must have to be accessible from your network. Websites below the selected threshold will be blocked. Note that this option is only available if the first option on the page is set to Allow."

    If I choose "unverified" does it block suspicious ones, too, or up the other side? (neutral, trusted)

    if you block suspicions then only suspicious sites are blocked.  if you go one up then everything form that dot and down are blocked.  if you want to block uncategorized sites there is a checkbox just for that on that page near the bottom left.
