Active Directory Users group HTTP Proxy issue

Hi, im still having to add individual users to the allowed list on the global tab of the web filtering page rather than just adding the Active Directory users group. I have upgraded to 8.202 as it was mentioned that the issue related to 8.201. Any ideas on this? As soon as i add the user manually it works how it should do.

    We have a users group 'Web' in the AD.
    On Astaro the group Web has dynamic membership of the Active directory Users group 'Web'.
     

    In Web security this group 'Web' has a filter assignment of 'moderate' during lunch and 'strict' the rest of the day.
     
    If I activate the Proxy Profile VMA users, we have to log on to the proxy again and again with no succes and we cannot connect to the internet.
    What am I missing?

    I don't know why that doesn't work, but it's never worked for me, either.  I haven't tried the "Domain Users" group, so I'd be interested to know if limiting to that group works for you.  In every case where I've configured AD-SSO, my clients have had distribution groups that covered all of their employees, and they wanted different filters used for them.  So, try limiting to backend group(s) and putting in enough groups that you cover the entire organization.

    Does that work?

    Ok, so ignore the active directory users group and create distribution groups in AD and import these instead?

    Like I said, I haven't tried the built-in users groups.  If you could try it with the "Domain Users" group and report back, that would be friendly! [;)]

    It definitely works well with Distribution Groups, and with Security Groups.

    Hi Bob, just gave the Domain Users group a try with no luck. For now i have created a new group in Astaro and added the members manually. We dont have a great deal of users so its not too bad to keep on top of but i think its something that Astaro need to fix, especially for any bigger clients who may want to use this functionality in the future.

    Hi Chris!
    Are you by any chance trying to do this on a Windows Small Business Server?
    In this case, there is a group with the name of you domain under "My Business" which contains all users created with the SBS Console. This group usually works.
