Nintendo proxy filtering - all webpages blocked

Apologies for the amateur question, but I'm struggling to get web filtering to work on my son's Nintendo 3DS. Have set the proxy field to ds-content-filter-astaro.com and the port to 8080 as per instructions, and the device connects to the internet, but entering any URL get the message:

Error:Unknown
Dear Nintendo DS user, this URL has been blocked by the Astaro Contentfilter. For more information click here.

Any advice would be appreciated!

    I hadn't realized that game systems now come with browsers, so I understand why you want to control his traffic.  I still think I'd use "Transparent mode" in your situation, and leave the Nintendo with no proxy settings.  You would then put in a packet filter drop rule for HTTP above the 'Web Surfing' allow rule you likely had the Astaro installation wizard create.  There will be some sites that won't play well with a web proxy; add those to the 'Transparent mode skiplist' on the 'Advanced' tab.

    If you're having things blocked that you don't understand, then please show a picture of the 'URL Filtering' tab and the relevant line fron the 'Content Filter (HTTP/S)' log file.

    I am having the same problem and do not see a way to use "Transparent Mode."  Sorry that I do not know what that is.  I would like to block objectionable web pages and searches, but the proxy settings given for the DS and DSI just block everything on the 3DS.  Any specific help you can give would be appreciated.
