Nintendo proxy filtering - all webpages blocked

Apologies for the amateur question, but I'm struggling to get web filtering to work on my son's Nintendo 3DS. Have set the proxy field to ds-content-filter-astaro.com and the port to 8080 as per instructions, and the device connects to the internet, but entering any URL get the message:

Error:Unknown
Dear Nintendo DS user, this URL has been blocked by the Astaro Contentfilter. For more information click here.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi, Jason, and welcome to the User BB!

If you are running the HTTP/S Proxy in 'Transparent' mode, set the Nintendo to NOT use the Proxy (blank or 80 - I don't know), and add a host definition for his proxy to the 'Transparent mode skiplist' on the 'Advanced' tab.

Did that get it, or do you really want him to go through the proxy?

Unfortunately I think I need him to go through the proxy to filter inappropriate URLs. Also the only configuation options I have are to use a proxy or not and port selection, although I don't have a great understanding of these things!
