Microsoft download manager

Whenever I use the MS download manager to dl software from their license site, I get about 99% completed and then it errors out. If I try the same thing from a machine that is in the exception list it, works sometime but not all the time. 


Any thoughts?

    the ms download manager is more p2p based.  I use the http transparent proxy without incident.  you should be able to find the port the dl manager uses via a google search

    Can you please explain a little more how you use the transparent proxy?

    the ms dl manager is not interfered with by the http proxy in transparent mode..how do you use it?  put the http proxy in transparent mode..ti's that easy.

    ORRR try putting microsoft.com(exactly like that) in the windows update exception the installer automatically builds.

    It already is in transparent mode. Sorry that's why I was asking, I thought you may have done something different. 

    I also I would like to add that I get this problem on my machine and I am n the exception list.

    actually i don't have microsoft.cdom as an astaro exception.  you have something else blocking it.  I run mine in transparent mode without incident.  might be an ips rule..etc etc etc.

    I also have Microsoft.com in my exception list. I think you are on to something b/c I do not have this problem at my remote site.

    well especially since you said this is the only asg with this issue..kt has to be a configuration issue.
