problem with ping and V8.012 with proxy enabled

I upgraded to V8.012 this weekend  While it does seem to work, browsing, downloading and latency (ping) have been adversely affected. Example:

HTTP proxy disabled:
6.1 Mb Down/720Kb Up, Pings 30 - 50 ms

HTTP proxy enabled:
3.1 Mb Down/702 Kb Up, Pings 150 -250 ms
I had disabled Http cache, AV, and spyware during my tests.


What is the problem ??

    I have always had high pings when running those tests around the 200 mark. 

    Download and upload speeds are about what I expect considering the ASG is being used.

    Open a console session and start top. The observe which process uses the memory and cpu when you run you speedtest. HTTP proxy shouldn't have any bearing on ping performance.

     What are your ping settings on the firewall?
