problem with ping and V8.012 with proxy enabled

I upgraded to V8.012 this weekend  While it does seem to work, browsing, downloading and latency (ping) have been adversely affected. Example:

HTTP proxy disabled:
6.1 Mb Down/720Kb Up, Pings 30 - 50 ms

HTTP proxy enabled:
3.1 Mb Down/702 Kb Up, Pings 150 -250 ms
I had disabled Http cache, AV, and spyware during my tests.


What is the problem ??

    how many users behind the astaro?  Which features are you using?  What do the hardware and networking graphs look like?  Which cpu on the g5?

    50 USERS .... TWO WAN INTERFACE.... filter p2p...


    cpu- 3%,  ram - 26% of 2gb.
