Google Apps Proxy Servers

Hi All,

My nephew told me how they circumvent their school firewall to go to sites that are blocked.  They are going to sites that use Google Apps Services that create proxy servers.  See these URLs for information.

How to Setup Your Own Web Proxy Server For Free with Google App Engine [Video Tutorial]

Google Apps Based Web Proxy Servers

The second one has a few sites as examples.  Now, I tried a couple of these and a few of them can get around my ASG content filter (Go2 works for example).  Since they can use different domains you can't just block appspot.com.  Any suggestions?

Paul

  • Paul, each of those URLs is listed by TrustedSource as an Anonymizer.  All that needs to be done is to add "Anonymizers" to the list of blocked categories.
