Content filtering order

It looks like Categories are taking precedence over whitelisted urls.

For instance, we have blocked the category "Web Mail" from our profiles, yet have whitelisted www.gmail.com to allow access only to that.

Yet our users are still being blocked "Category = "Webmail" when trying to access.

We are on version 7.5

I should add that this problem only occurs with HTTPS sites.

Scan HTTPS (SSL) traffic checkbox is checked. (although this doesnt seem to matter)

Hi,

What does the log entry in the content filter look like? Whenever I go to gmail I am redirected to mail.google.com you might need to add that to the whitelist.

Yes, that is the url it tries to go to and that is the url I have whitelisted.

I can remove the Web Mail category from the profile and it will then access the url. It will also block the url if I add the entry into the Blacklist.

It seems there is a problem with the order of processing filtering.
