Create a master block list for all http/s profiles

Hi all,
this is my first post here and I'm hoping someone can help!
I have a v.7 gateway setup in transparent mode. I'm trying to create different types of proxy profiles in order to restrict access to certain sites. this I was able to do through groups memberships and active directory.
Where I have an issue is that when I want to block a specific website, I have to add it to all the different filter actions I created.

How can I create a master block list that I could potentially use in all the proxy profiles?

Example:
if I decide to block just the facebook URL instead of all the Social Networking category, I have to add facebook to all the different Filter Action except for the AllowFacebook action item.

You can add the sites to the exception lists in 'Web Security -> HTTP/S -> URL Filtering'. These are applied to all Profiles and are something like a 'master block list'.

Thank you for your reply Manfred!
Acutally I was inclined to thinking that myself but I've added websites to this list and they don't get applied.
I created a few profiles and they get applied if and only if the Astaro default action is assigned.
Is it my appliance that is not working well?

Hi,

what version of ASG are you using? In some versions (don't know the exact ones) had a bug in the http proxy that sound similar - or it is just not working that way. Maybe someone else can give more input.

Hi All,
Here's what the Astaro Technical Support Team replied to my question:

At this time you cannot create a master block list. Basically when you create
profiles they take over the main or default profile, and what ever is done there
will happen.. There is a feature request on this feature on our feature request
website. But we won't know at this time of the developers will include it or not.

I hope this feature will be added in futur releases...

Hi Barry,
I searched the feature request website and couldn't find the feature tech support is referencing.
I Therefore I created the "Create Master block/allow list" feature.

I searched for this to vote but could not find it. I have a similar issue, lots of exceptions in the default lists, allow exe, allow content exemption, etc., but if I turn on SSO Proxy by AD group, I will have to maintain numerous seperate lists.
